A Message to Young Squash Players Interested in Berkeley

Cal Squash Team Wants You!

If you are a talented squash player and are planning on furthering your education while playing squash, we would like you to consider the University of California, Berkeley.

There are many reasons to come to Cal Berkeley. (Top Ten Reasons to Come to Cal). Berkeley is one of the finest academic institutions in the world. It is located 5 miles from one of the greatest cities in the world, San Francisco. We have a very diverse and international student body. We are blessed with warm weather all year round.

While having all this, Berkeley is also one of the least expensive colleges. The tuition at Berkeley for the 1998 calendar year was about $13,000 (just $4,000 for California residents). Compare this to other private squash colleges on the east coast which cost between $16,000 - $22,000/year.

Sadly, U.C. Berkeley does not offer squash scholarships at this time. Although we are working to change that. However you may be eligible for financial aid. We can also help you to find a job once you get here.

We would love to hear from you if you are thinking of coming to Cal, and will do all that we can to help you come to Berkeley. Remember that the application deadline for Fall admission for the following year is November 30! Get your application in early.
